Student-Led Conferences (SLCs) registration closing soon

Our spring Student-Led Conferences (SLCs) will be held on Thursday, April 17 from 13:00-17:00, and Friday, April 18 from 9:00–17:00.

Unlike traditional Parent-Teacher conferences, where teachers do most of the talking, the Student-Led Conference format empowers students to present their own progress, accomplishments, and goals, fostering a sense of responsibility and pride.

Important updates:

  • SLC will take place over one and a half days.
  • Each conference will last 25 minutes.
  • ECC conferences will be conducted as home visits, with specific arrangements communicated directly by the teachers.
  • Elementary parents should schedule a meeting with the homeroom teacher through PowerSchool.
  • Secondary parents should only schedule a meeting with the advisory teacher through PowerSchool.

Registration for Student-Led Conferences closes at 17:00 on Friday, April 11. Parents need to log in to PowerSchool to sign up for appointments. Please click here for instructions on how to register.

Notes:

  • Secondary students are only required to meet with their advisory teacher.
  • If other subject teachers find it necessary to meet with a specific student, they will contact the student's parents.
  • If you have any questions, please email our main office at wyisoffice@wyischina.com.

Principal's Tea

We warmly invite all parents to join our Principal's Tea, a time of connection among school leadership and our parents. At the Tea, you'll hear from our Head of School and have a principal panel where principals will respond to submitted questions. There will also be time to socialize with one another, create a spring craft, and talk with the principals.

Please click here to RSVP by Monday, April 21 at 8:00.
