Spring 2024 Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTC) are scheduled for Friday, April 12 from 09:00-17:00.

At PTC, parents are invited to meet with their child’s teachers to discuss student progress and goals. The time is planned to be reflective and action-oriented. Conferences can be an important part in the education process, giving parents time to ask questions and to work together with teachers.

Upper Elementary students are welcome to attend conferences, while Secondary students are required to attend the meeting with their parents. They may benefit from the opportunity to discuss their progress in an open forum with teachers and parents.

Parents of Lower Elementary students are asked to attend without their children to allow for the most effective time with teachers.

Registration for PTC opens at 08:00 on Tuesday, March 26 and closes at 16:00 on April 9. Parents need to log in to PowerSchool to sign up for appointments. Instructions on how to register for PTC can be found here.

Note:

• PTC is a day off of school for all students.
• If you are not able to get the appointment time you need with your child's teacher, please email them separately to schedule a time to meet.
• If you would like to book an appointment with a staff member who is not on your booking list, please email the school office at wyisoffice@wyischina.com.

2024春季家长会将于4月12日（星期五）上午9点至下午5点进行。

我们欢迎您来校与孩子的老师就学习目标及其它方面的情况进行一对一面谈，从而制定更有针对性和切实可行的学习方案。家长也可以通过提问来了解孩子的学习情况，更好地配合老师工作，这也是教学过程中重要的一个环节。

中学生被要求必须与家长一起参加会议，我们也欢迎小学高年级的学生与家长一同参加。学生们可以通过这次开放性的谈话，与老师和家长讨论自己的学习情况。

为了保证会议的有效进行，小学低年级的学生则不能与家长一起。

家长需要通过登陆PowerSchool预约家长会，预约窗口开放的时间是3月26日（星期二）上午8点至4月9日（星期二）下午4点。请您点击这里获取预约指南。

重要须知:

• 家长会当天学生不上学；
• 如果您无法跟某个老师预约上当天的时间，您可以发邮件联系老师预约其他时间；

We are thrilled to announce that Field Day will be on Friday, March 29 from 8:30 to 11:30! Get ready for a day filled with excitement and spirited competition.

Attire: Ensure that your child wears their Field Day shirt or any shirt representing their team color. Don't worry if your child doesn't have one yet; last year's shirts are still available for purchase at just 25 RMB each (first come, first served.) Visit the PE office after school to purchase yours.

Team Spirit: Let's rally behind our new teams - Yellow Crane, Blue Viper, Purple Tiger, and Red Panda! Come prepared to cheer them on.

Our Chinese Read-A-Thon has started and runs from March 18-28! Chinese language students are invited to read their own Chinese books or borrow books from their Chinese teachers and the school library. Students will complete a book project - such as a video, poster, PowerPoint or a mini-book - describing their opinion about a specific book. LifePlus Chinese Reading Month awards will be given to the top three students from both Elementary and Secondary.

学校的中文阅读马拉松活动时间是3月18日至28日！我们邀请汉语学生阅读自己的汉语书籍或向汉语老师和学校图书馆借书。学生将完成一个图书项目 - 例如视频、海报、幻灯片 或迷你书 - 描述他们对特定书籍的看法。LifePlus中文阅读月奖将分别颁发给小学和中学的前三名学生。

The end of quarter 3 is on Friday, March 29. This will also be a half day of school with all students being dismissed at 11:30 after Field Day.
