This week marks the first time we’ve had students on campus – in our classrooms and cafeteria, playing in the gym, walking the halls – since January 17. The school year hasn’t started yet, but students in Wuhan are here for our week-long Summer Program: Reunion 2020.
Like every other school or business here, WYIS has made lots of changes to the way we do things, all focused on ensuring our campus is as safe and healthy as possible. We’ve been working very closely with the local Education Bureau for months, preparing our campus for this week’s program and for our first day of classes on September 1.
Preparations are paying off. Sure, it takes a few extra steps to enter campus – temperature check, proof of negative test, masks, social distancing – but that’s gone very smoothly this week, and we’re more encouraged than ever about easing into first day of classes.
It’s just three weeks away.
We’re busy getting ready, preparing for you. This week’s pics show some of our campus preparations. Looking forward to seeing you all soon.
