DRAMA SPRING SHOWCASE

Our Drama Spring Showcase - A Day In the Life of a Typical Teen - will be at 6:30 PM on Friday, June 4. The showcase includes performances by Middle School Drama, High School Drama, and Fashion Design. This show is best suited for audiences middle school and above. Join us!

VALEDICTORIAN & EARCOS AWARDS ANNOUNCED

During the Secondary Drama Spring Showcase on June 4, we will announce two very special awards for secondary students: the Valedictorian for the WYIS Class of 2020/2021, as well as the EARCOS Global Citizenship Award winner.

Please join us at the Showcase for great entertainment and to hear the results of these great awards and honors.

RE-ENROLLMENT - PLEASE REVIEW YOUR INFO

If you re-enrolled your child for next year through PowerSchool, we need your help completing some information. PowerSchool re-enrollment had a minor issue that caused some information not to be saved.

If your child is returning to WYIS next year, please complete THIS very brief survey about re-enrollment.

Because of the PowerSchool problem, the re-enrollment portal will be open from today through Friday, May 28. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Agnes Liu at agnes.liu@wyischina.com.

GRADE 1 MARKET DAY

Grade 1 students would like to invite all WYIS families to join us on Friday, May 28 from 1:30-2:30 in the Performance Arts Building lobby. We will have a wide selections of items from homemade ice cream and lemonade to paintings and hand-made craft items.

Come and celebrate all of the hard work of Grade 1 students to make this Market Day a huge success. Proceeds from the market will go to non-profit organizations both local and abroad.

ELEMENTARY SPORTS GAMES

KOREAN UNIVERSITY ADMISSIONS CALLS

The iSC Korean College Counselors have arranged Zoom meetings with the admissions departments of some Korean universities. Two calls have already taken place; one more call is scheduled for next week. At 12:30 on Monday, May 31, we will have a Zoom call with Seoul National University. If you are interested in joining, please join us at WYIS during the times noted above or contact Irene Kim (irene.kim@wyischina.com) for more assistance.

SECONDARY AWARDS

During secondary assembly on Wednesday, June 9, we will have our secondary awards ceremony. During this time, we'll announce athletic, academic, and other types of awards for secondary students. Parents are welcome to attend this assembly to see the awards given. Assembly is from 8-9 in the Performing Arts Building auditorium.

We invite you to join all iSC schools in our fundraising campaign to help India in its extreme difficulties during COVID. Together, let's help India breathe.

TRAVEL & HEALTH UPDATE

Recently, there have been COVID-19 outbreaks in the following areas: Yuhong district and Heping district in Shenyang city, Yingkou city, Lu'an city, Feixi district in Hefei city, Liwan district in Guangzhou city, Yantian district and Longgang district in Shenzhen city. If you have traveled to any of these or other medium/high-risk areas on or after May 7, please contact your local community officer.
