OUR COMMUNITY: A HISTORY OF EXCELLENCE

(part 2 of 4)

We started talking last week about the global educational organization that our school is a part of. Being part of this larger family of schools means that Wuhan Yangtze International School is accredited by Cognia, a world-renowned educational body that recognizes the incredibly high standards of our work and continues to evaluate our performance—raising us higher, taking our students further.

Cognia standards do not only apply to academics, but also to student well-being, so that we are supporting the holistic development of each student as a whole person. Every student knows that they’re cared for, and that their school is a safe place to learn, explore and ask big questions.

With more than 40 years of history and experience in education within China, our schools and teachers are well-equipped to support students both inside and outside of the classroom. With a foundation of expertise and experience, and our partnership with Cognia, we continue striving for the excellence that has distinguished our schools over the past four decades.

Schools’ Spotlight
Chengdu
The Student Services team at Chengdu International School uses six specialized support departments to create inclusive environments for their students and community to not only grow, but thrive. For example, their learning support teachers work alongside parents, teachers and the student to create individualized education plans that focus on using a student's strengths to grow and cope with their struggles.

Tianjin
Tianjin International School is the first international school we ever founded in China, back in 1986. Today, the school runs Spring Trips for all of their Secondary students, and these trips help students to explore and learn more about the rich Chinese history and culture of their host country. While the travel is a fun learning experience, it is the connection that students build with one another and the memories they share that will last for a lifetime.
