The WYIS Jazz band is hosting their first-ever fundraiser, Rooftop Jazz. Rooftop Jazz will be a magical evening under the stars, with delicious treats, a relaxing atmosphere, and a live jazz performance.
Rooftop Jazz will be Friday, April 9, from 7-9 PM on the 2nd floor patio outside the 3rd & 4th grade classrooms. Dress is semi-formal. Tickets cost 150 RMB each and can be purchased from Jazz Band members in the main lobby every day at the following times: 7:45-8:15 & 3:00-3:30.
This event is exclusive to parents, staff, and high school students. (No younger children, please.) All profit will go to the budget for future WYIS bands. Questions? Contact email@example.com

Also, congratulations to our HS Boys Soccer team, who won all three of their games against Nanjing in the Nanjing Soccer Tournament last weekend. The HS Girls Soccer team played exceptionally well, too, ending the tournament with a 1-1-1 (one win, one lose, one tie). We're proud of you all!

By now you will have received an email from the Admissions Office regarding re-enrollment. If you have a child returning to WYIS in the new school year 2021/2022, please complete re-enrollment on Powerschool between March 20 and May 7. A PARENT WORKSHOP: SAFE INTERNET & GAMING
Our Student Service Team is hosting a Parent Workshop on the topic of internet and gaming addiction. As the internet is part of our children's lives already, at this workshop we'll discuss how to use online games and the internet as tools for them to grow and learn. We'll also share guidelines and strategies to help you as you work with your children on appropriate internet and gaming.
The workshop will be at WYIS on Wednesday, March 31, from 2:10 - 3:05. Presenter: William Lee. Translation will be provided.
The workshop is particularly useful for secondary parents, though all WYIS parents are welcome to attend.
A PARENT-LED PARENTING COURSE (in Chinese)
One of our parents is facilitating a series of parenting courses for parents with children between the ages of 11 and 18. This course will run for eight sessions, and its format will include watching a video teaching followed by discussion and practical homework Though the course began March 22, there are still openings available. All WYIS parents who speak Chinese are invited to join. (The course will be led only in Chinese.) Facilitator: WYIS parent Rita Pang.
