We are very excited to announce the school-wide Field day will take place on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. This event will be a wonderful opportunity for the entire school community to come together and experience some high energy and exciting sports and games activities.
Important reminders for students:
- What to wear? Students may wear Field Day shirts from last year or any shirts with their team color, shorts, and sports shoes. No sandals or flip flops, please.
- What to bring? Students should bring a refillable water bottle and protection from the sun -- suncreen or possibly a hat.
- What color or team? Your child's classroom or advisory teacher informed parents/students of their teams last week. Whatever team your child is on determines what color shirt they wear for Field Day. Students who were here last year are most likely on the same team, though there have been slight adjustments.

ISC PARENT SURVEY
Our district, iSC, initiates a parent survey every year for feedback about our school’s learning environment, educational programs, your child’s teachers, school safety, school-home communication, and parental involvement opportunities. The WYIS Office emailed all parents more information about this survey last week.
Please complete the survey (HERE) today. The survey closes April 1.
NO PARKING OUTSIDE FRENCH SCHOOL
When dropping off or picking up your kids each day, please keep in mind our French neighbors next door and do NOT park outside their lobby or school building. Please drive around to the WYIS side and park in our parking lot. The EFIW (French School) students and staff need a safe passage to and from their building, just like our families do. Thank you for showing respect and consideration to our French neighbors by not parking in front of their lobby or building.
SCHOOL BUS PARKING ZONE
For the safety of our bus riders and to ensure smooth driving and parking on campus, we now have a painted school bus parking zone on our driveway. The area is marked on the ground near the lobby, and it is only for school bus parking during school days. Please don’t park your cars in the school bus parking zone between 7:30 and 5:00. All cars must park in the parking lot.
STUDENT ARTWORK EXHIBITION
The first Wuhan International Children's Painting Exhibition of the Wuhan Art Museum will be held at the first of June 2022. This activity, which is a centralized exhibition of Wuhan children's paintings, is themed around the Wuhan water culture and is an important activity for the Wuhan National Professional Art Museum. The goal is to popularize and disseminate art, develop young people's artistic literacy, and represent the cultural atmosphere of the city of Wuhan.
WYIS students have the opportunity for their work to be displayed in the exhibition. If your child would like to participate, please submit their artwork to art teacher Ms. Tiffany Yang (firstname.lastname@example.org) by April 30. Please include your child's name, age, nationality, and a short description of the artwork. For more information, contact Ms. Yang.
