Two more weeks until school ends. Please note this important information about end-of-year procedures:
There will be a check–out fair for all secondary students (leaving and returning) in the library on Wednesday, June 16, from 11: 30 until 1 pm. The check-out fair is a one-stop service for students to return their textbooks, electronic devices, and clear all outstanding accounts. The school librarian, registrar, IT office, cashier, and finance department will all be present during the fair and will facilitate the end of year check- out. Each student will get a check-out form on the fair for sign up.
Because of the check-out fair, school buses will depart from the school at 1 pm. Students who wish to order a school lunch can do so.
FOR ALL LEAVING & GRADUATING STUDENTS:
Official documents will be ready for pick up from June 23, from Registrar Agnes Liu. Please make sure your child has submitted the check-out form indicating that he or she has returned all books and cleared all outstanding accounts.
FOR ALL RETURNING STUDENTS:
To keep you informed about your child's academic performance, we will provide each student with a final official report card at the end of year. The report card will be available for pick up over the summer or at the beginning of the new school year.

Plan for high traffic and a longer commute next week, as local high schoolers will take the gaokao test Monday through Wednesday, June 7-9. This does not affect WYIS students, though it may affect your commute to school. Boxue Lu will be closed to vehicles those days, so please allow plenty of extra time to allow for alternate routes and very busy traffic. Walkers/bikers to WYIS should not be affected.
TRAVEL & HEALTH UPDATE
Recently, there have been COVID-19 outbreaks in the following areas: Guangzhou and Foshan. If you have traveled to either of these or other medium/high-risk areas recently, please contact your local community officer.
