WATER DAY
Thursday, June 15, is our annual last-day-of-school tradition: Water Day! For all students, this is a non-uniform day. Please wear clothing that can get wet - this means no white shirts/shorts - and bring a towel and change of clothes for afterwards. Below is a brief overview of each department’s water fun.
- Lower Elementary (EC3-Grade 2): ECC will have their games starting at 10:15 AM. Grades 1 and 2 will begin their games at 11 AM. No water guns will be allowed. Students will use materials provided by classroom teachers.
- Upper Elementary (Grades 3-5) will have their water fight from 10:20-10:35 AM. Students can use buckets, cups, or water bottles. No water balloons or guns are allowed. Students need to bring a towel and a change of clothes to school.
- Secondary will have their water fight from 11:15-11:35 AM. Students should bring a towel and a change of clothes to school. Students should wear dark-colored clothing for the water fight (no white shirts or shorts) and may bring buckets and/or water guns, but NO water balloons.

TRAFFIC DELAYS DUE TO GAOKAO
Plan for high traffic and a longer commute this week as local high school students will be taking the gaokao test from Wednesday-Friday, June 7-9. This does not affect WYIS students, though it may affect your commute to school.
If you have a WYIS parking pass, you should be able to enter and exit the school, but ONLY from the north/New Golden Harbor side of Boxue Lu and only by showing your parking pass identifying you as a WYIS parent.
Boxue Lu will be closed to general traffic those days, so please allow plenty of extra time to allow for alternate routes and very busy traffic. Walkers/bikers to WYIS should not be affected.
