Healthy & Safe
NEW SAFETY PAPERWORK REQUIRED AFTER CNY
The safety and wellbeing of our students and community members is a priority for us. In order to maintain the good health our community has enjoyed, we recommend all families avoid travelling as much as possible. Beginning February 22, the first day back from Chinese New Year holiday, we will require all students to turn in one form, a WYIS Health Registration Form (Post-Holiday).
This form asks for temperature tracking for 14 days, as well as locations of any places you've traveled outside Wuhan since February 8.
We will check to ensure that each student at WYIS returns from Chinese New Year holiday with this form. If a student does not have this form on their first day back, they will not be admitted into classes. Please print your Health Registration Form soon and be prepared to complete it daily either beginning February 8 or 14 days prior to your first day back from holiday.
Thank you for your cooperation and help in keeping the WYIS community safe and healthy.
MORNING DROP-OFF LIMITED ENTRY FOR PARENTS
Continuing our commitment to safety first, we are now limiting access to our classroom hallways.
Beginning January 27, 2021, parents may no longer walk their elementary children to their classrooms.
Parents are welcome to drop children off in our lobby, as usual, but please do not walk your child to their classroom. Only students and staff are allowed in our classroom hallways. ECC parents, please continue to drop your children off to your ECC classroom’s back door.
AFTER-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES FOR QUARTER 3
Quarter 3 After-School Activities are underway! Please view more information about all the activities and how to register HERE.
Want to help? We love working with parent volunteers. If you have a suggestion for an activity or would like to volunteer to coach or assist, please contact After-School Activities coordinator Ms. Susie Xiong at email@example.com.
CANVAS PARENT PORTAL ACCESS
All parents have access to Canvas as a parent/observer for their child’s courses. This allows you, the parent/guardian, to log in to see your child’s class assignments, due dates, etc. For step-by-step help on how to access Canvas as a parent, please review these instructions.
If you have questions, please contact Edgar Franks (firstname.lastname@example.org) or June Lei (email@example.com).
