STUDENT ARTWORK EXHIBITION

The first Wuhan International Children's Painting Exhibition of the Wuhan Art Museum will be held at the first of June 2022. This activity, which is a centralized exhibition of Wuhan children's paintings, is themed around the Wuhan water culture and is an important activity for the Wuhan National Professional Art Museum. The goal is to popularize and disseminate art, develop young people's artistic literacy, and represent the cultural atmosphere of the city of Wuhan.

WYIS students have the opportunity for their work to be displayed in the exhibition. If your child would like to participate, please submit their artwork to art teacher Ms. Tiffany Yang (tiffany.yang@wyischina.com) by April 30. Please include your child's name, age, nationality, and a short description of the artwork. For more information, contact Ms. Yang.

SONDHEIM IN THE SPRING - SECONDARY CONCERT

Secondary Choir students have been working hard for their upcoming concert performance: Sondheim In The Spring. Music presented at the concert will be songs composed or lyricized by American composer Stephen Sondheim, whose compositions and lyrics paint pictures of elegance, excitement, and drama. Songs performed come from musicals such as Westside Story, Into the Woods, and Sunday in the Park with George.

Due to COVID restrictions, this is a private event only. We will share more information soon directly with concert students' families. Questions? Please contact Music Teacher Emily Calder (emily.calder@wyischina.com).

NO PARKING OUTSIDE FRENCH SCHOOL

When dropping off or picking up your kids each day, please keep in mind our French neighbors next door and do NOT park outside their lobby or school building. Please drive around to the WYIS side and park in our parking lot.

The EFIW (French School) students and staff need a safe passage to and from their building, just like our families do. Thank you for showing respect and consideration to our French neighbors by NOT parking in front of their lobby or building.

VENDOR FOR THE WYIS CAFE

WYIS is changing vendors for the Cafe for next school year, and we are accepting proposals from vendors. If you are interested in providing services for the Cafe, please contact Jessie Guo (jessie.guo@wyischina.com).

Parents are welcome to drop off and pick up their children as usual. Tighter restrictions are being enforced for inside our buildings.
