Spirit Day: Everything Christmas
This month’s StuCo Spirit Day is on Friday, December 20! The theme for this month is Everything Christmas. Students and staff members are encouraged to wear festive attire that are Christmas themed. This may include red and green clothing, clothes with Christmas designs, or accessories with symbolic Christmas elements (such as reindeer, Santa, Snowman, stars, Christmas trees, etc.).
Note:
- Clothing must be school-appropriate.
- Students can choose not to dress in a theme for this day, but they must still wear their school or PE uniforms.

Telethon
Dear WYIS,
On behalf of the entire EFIW community, we extend heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and participation in our recent charity event.
Your generosity, coupled with the enthusiastic involvement of students, parents and staff, made the event a resounding success. The dedication and commitment showcased by everyone involved were truly inspiring. Through collaborative efforts, we were able to raise 26,605.39rmb (3,472.64€). This amount has been transferred through this link.
Not only did the event foster a spirit of giving and community engagement within our school, but it also echoed the values we both strive to instill in our students - empathy, kindness and the importance of giving back.
Looking ahead, we aspire to continue these initiatives and further strengthen the cooperation between WYIS and EFIW.
Once again, thank you for your unwavering support and dedication. We look forward to future collaborations that will undoubtedly make a profound impact.

VEX IQ Robotics Tournament
Our Middle School teams are gearing up to compete in the VEX IQ Robotics Tournament! Join us on Saturday, January 11 from 8:30-16:30 in the gym.
The excitement kicks off with the opening ceremony on Friday, January 10 at 14:30.

Visitor registration
We take the safety of our community very seriously. That is why we will be adding additional procedures to increase campus safety.
We are implementing a new system called Passport for registering visitors into our academic building. All visitors who enter the secured portion of the main academic building will need to register at the front desk by scanning a QR code and having an ID sticker printed that must be worn at all times.
The secured portion of the academic building include the areas that are not in the main lobby, 1st floor conference room, and 1st floor restrooms. Visitors will need to register at the main lobby from 7:45-16:45. In the future, visitors accessing any building on campus would need to register in Passport.
Examples of visitors who need to register:
- Visitors to the library or library volunteers.
- Guests attending a scheduled school tour.
- Parents meeting with teachers or principals.
- Parents attending classroom events.

End of semester 1
The end of semester 1 is on Friday, December 20. This is also a half-day of school for students.
Monday, January 6 is a Professional Development Day for school staff. There is no school for students.
The first day of quarter 3 after our Christmas break is on Tuesday, January 7.
