This year's Read-A-Thon is coming soon! What is a Read-A-Thon? It is a specific period of time where people read as much as they can to win prizes. WYIS Read-A-Thon challenges are always two weeks long and follow a theme. This year's theme is Mystery and Realistic Fiction, and it will take place from Monday, February 26 to Monday, March 11. All students from grades 1-12 are encouraged to participate. The more pages you read in the designated themes, the more prizes you can win.

During Read-A-Thon, the library's hours will be extended to 16:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. For more information, contact Hannah Carter at hannah.carter@wyischina.com.

Get ready for a showcase of talent at our spring Talent Show! Brace yourselves for an evening filled with outstanding performances that will captivate and entertain. Bring your friends and family for an evening celebrating the diverse talents within our school community.

Note: due to weather, the Talent Show has been postponed to Friday, March 1 at 17:00.

Student Council will be hosting a Spirit Day each month as an opportunity for Wuhan Yangtze students and staff to show school spirit by coming to school dressed according to a specific theme. The theme for this month is Duo Day. Students and staff are encouraged to recreate a famous duo with a partner on Wednesday, February 28. They may choose to dress up as a pair of objects, foods or characters. For example, Romeo and Juliet, Mario and Luigi, Ketchup and Mustard, Hamburger and Hotdog, Tape and Scissors, etc.

Note:

• Costumes must be school-appropriate.
• Students can choose not to dress in a theme for the day, but they must still wear their school or PE uniforms.

学生会每月都会选择一天作为“主题服装日”，为学校学生和教职员工提供一个机会，让他们按照特定主题穿着到校来展示学校精神。本月的主题是“搭档”。我们鼓励学生和教职员工在2月28日（星期三）与搭档一起重现经典的双人组合。他们可以装扮成一对物品、食物或者任意人物角色。比如罗密欧与朱丽叶、马里奥与路易基、番茄酱与芥末、汉堡与热狗、胶带与剪刀等。
