INTERNATIONAL DAY
We're less than 2 weeks away from International Day 2021! We invite all our WYIS families to join us at International Day and celebrate in community the cultural diversity we have here at WYIS.
How can you get involved?
Wear clothes from either your own country/region or one you identify with. You can also join with others from PTO to share a food, cultural activity, or performance that represents your country.
If you have questions or would like to get involved, contact your PTO Language Group Leader or International Day coordinator Anna Malchow.

SPRING CONCERT
What is one of the best parts of your favorite movies? The music, of course!
The WYIS elementary and secondary Spring Concerts will transport you to a variety of classic films through music by students singing and playing musical instruments.
The music students have worked hard to put on a Spring Concert that you are sure to enjoy. Elementary students will be performing on ukulele, our new keyboard mallet instruments, recorders, and more. The Grade 5 students will present their premiere performance on their band instruments. The secondary band and choir students will be presenting an exciting compilation of music from Disney movies and more. Join us for this exciting musical experience. Secondary Spring Concert is Wednesday, May 12, at 6:30 PM. Elementary Spring Concert is Friday, May 14, at 8:30 AM.
WALK WITH PURPOSE
On Sunday, May 9, the Women of Wuhan (WOW) organization is hosting their annual Spring Walk. The walk will be at Shahu Lake, and your 50 RMB donation to join the walk will help support the education fund of the Hubei AIDS orphans. Many of our staff and community members regularly attend WOW events like the Spring Walk and find they're great ways to make new friends and support the local community at the same time. Join the walk or find out more information from the Spring Walk flyer from WOW.
If you join the Spring Walk and wear any WYIS spirit wear, we've got a gift for you. Post a photo of yourself/your family wearing any WYIS spirit wear at the walk, post to social media, tag WYIS, and we'll get you a special-edition goodie bag! (Alternatively, you can email your photo to communications@wyischina.com.) Hope to see your family in your WYIS spirit wear walking with purpose at the WOW Spring Walk.

SCIENCE FAIR
Please join us for the 8th Grade Science and Engineering Fair on Friday, May 7, from 1-3 PM. The Fair begins in the auditorium at 1 for the awards ceremony. Then we will move to the 5th floor of the Academic Building for refreshments and interactions with the students and their projects. We welcome parents to talk with our 8th grade students as they share the results of their Science Fair projects. Science Fair is an exciting event where we celebrate the hard work of our students.
Please contact Bryan Fisher at bryan.fisher@wyischina.com with any questions.
