ECC & ELEMENTARY SPRING CONCERT

The WYIS Music Department is excited to share with you our ECC and Elementary Spring concert, “Animal Adventures in Music.” Each group from ECC and Elementary will present, through folk or pop songs about animals, the skills they have learned within their music classes .

The concert is at 8:30 AM on Friday, May 13.

Due to COVID restrictions, this concert will be a private event that is not open in person to parents or visitors on campus. We will offer a way for you to view the concert online, either during or after the event, and we will send more information about that soon. Questions? Please contact Music Teacher Emily Calder (emily.calder@wyischina.com).

SECONDARY LEARNING CELEBRATION

Beginning at 2:30 on Friday, May 13, we will host our annual Secondary Learning Celebration. The event will feature an awards ceremony (Valedictorian, Honor Roll, Athletics, Character Education, Robotics, EARCOS, etc.), a senior speech, and a performance from secondary students in Chinese language classes. This great event offers us a way to recognize and celebrate all the hard work our students have devoted to their learning this year.

Due to COVID restrictions, this celebration will be a private event that is not open in person to parents or visitors on campus. We will offer a way for you to view the celebration online, either during or after the event, and we will send more information about that soon. Questions? Please contact Sarah Reese (sarah.reese@wyischina.com).

INTERNATIONAL DAY

International Day is our annual tradition celebrating the rich cultural diversity at WYIS. Due to COVID restrictions, International Day for 2021-2022 will be a private event held during the school day with students and staff only. International Day is Monday, May 16, 2022.

To recognize and celebrate the diversity we enjoy at WYIS, we encourage all students and staff to wear traditional costumes or clothing that represent their home or "heart" country. We are working with the PTO and may have other opportunities for parents to help contribute to the International Day festivities.

More details to come.
