MIDDLE SCHOOL LOCK-IN
Student Council is hosting a Middle School Lock-In at school on Friday, May 5 from 5-9 PM! This event is a chance for middle school students to have fun with friends by participating in various group activities prepared by StuCo: Among Us, Just Dance, dodgeball, board games, Super Smash Bros, and the Zombie Game.

Note:
- Permission forms must be submitted to Ms. Reese or Mr. Q before Thursday, May 4.
- Dinner will be provided and can be paid for at the StuCo store.
- While school uniforms will not be required, regular dress code rules still apply.

GRADE 5 PARENT MEETING
Thursday, May 4 from 2:00-3:20 PM
First Floor Conference Room
We will be offering an information session for parents of Grade 5 students about preparing your child for middle school. We will be providing important details on activities, courses, expectations and testing. Parents will also have the opportunity to meet the Middle School Lead Teacher and the College and Career Guidance Counselor.

GRADES 8 & 9 PARENT MEETING
Tuesday, May 9 from 2:00-3:20 PM
First Floor Conference Room
Parents of students in Grades 8 and 9 are invited to attend an information session about academic services and requirements for high school. Topics will include expectations for each grade level in high school, SAT and PSAT testing, AP courses and College and Career Couseling services.

ELEMENTARY SPRING PROGRAM

Students in ECC and Elementary will be sharing their musical talents with our community! It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate these young musicians’ achievements in music this year.
Parents, please reserve your attendance by next Wednesday, May 10 with this FORM. Tickets for admission will be provided to families who reserved seats.

AAPPL CHINESE TESTING
We will be providing Secondary students an opportunity to demonstrate their progress in Chinese language learning. Secondary students who are in non-native Chinese classes will take the AAPPL Chinese test, a language proficiency assessment. Performance reports from the test provide evidence of a learner’s Chinese language performance and help to set improvement learning goals.
May 2-5: MS Novice Chinese
May 8-12: HS Novice & Intermediate Chinese

SPRING MAP TESTING
WYIS will continue MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing this week. We conduct MAP tests regularly throughout the year, which allows us to track students’ growth each time they test. To learn more about MAP, please read HERE or contact your child’s teacher.
SPRING TESTING DATES:
May 2-5: Grades 4 & 5
May 8-12: Grades 2 & 3
May 15-19: EC5 & Grade 1
May 22-26: Grades 6-8
