On Monday, March 28, please join us for our Principal's Tea, a time of connection and sharing among school leadership and our parents. At the Tea, we'll focus on highlights from this year and let you know what's in store for next year. Our principals will share next year's staffing and structure, new programs and developments for 2022/2023 (including campus improvements), our education philosophy, curriculum, and other information. We strongly encourage parents to come and hear this important information, and we feel you will find it very helpful for you and your family.
The Tea will be from 9:30-11:30 AM on Monday, March 28 at the Hilton Wuhan Riverside Hotel. In order to follow the COVID prevention policy and to help us better prepare, please click here to RSVP and view more details.

We are very excited to announce the school-wide Field day will take place on Friday, April 1, 2022 from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM. This event will be a wonderful opportunity for the entire school community to come together and experience some high energy and exciting sports and games activities.
Important reminders for students:
- What to wear? Students may wear Field Day shirts from last year or any shirts with their team color, shorts, and sports shoes. No sandals or flip flops, please.
- What to bring? Students should bring a refillable water bottle and protection from the sun -- suncreen or possibly a hat.
- What color or team? Your child's classroom or advisory teacher will inform parents/students of their teams this week. Whatever team your child is on determines what color shirt they wear for Field Day. Students who were here last year will most likely be on the same team, though there have been slight adjustments.
Parent-Teacher Conferences (PTC) will be held Monday, April 18 from 9-5. Registration will open on Monday, April 11. View the complete PTC announcement here.
All conferences are in person at WYIS. At this time, we do not offer an option for meeting online.
NOTE: PTC is a day off of school for students. Parents, if you are not able to get the appointment time you need with your child's teacher, please email them separately to schedule a time to meet. If you would like to book an appointment with a staff member who is not on your booking list, please email the school office at firstname.lastname@example.org.

ISC PARENT SURVEY
Our district, iSC, initiates a parent survey every year for feedback about our school’s learning environment, educational programs, your child’s teachers, school safety, school-home communication, and parental involvement opportunities. The WYIS Office will email all parents more information about this survey this week, as well as the survey link. Please look for the information from us and complete the survey as soon as you are able. The survey closes April 1.
SCHOOL BUS PARKING ZONE
For the safety of our bus riders and to ensure smooth driving and parking on campus, we now have a painted school bus parking zone on our driveway. The area is marked on the ground near the lobby, and it is only for school bus parking during school days. Please don’t park your cars in the school bus parking zone between 7:30 and 5:00. All cars must park in the parking lot.
From March 23-30, WYIS will have “Jiao Wars,” a fundraiser that encourages students to donate coins to win daily prizes. Each elementary class will be paired with a secondary class to create a team. The team that collects the most coins by the end of the project is rewarded with a party. All the money collected at Jiao Wars will go toward the Hope for Haiti project.
