CALENDAR UPDATES

Below are latest updates to our calendar. Please stay connected to the school website calendar for the latest udpates.

HERE is letter from iSC Superintendent Josh Keegan with more about our calendar updates.

  • SPRING BREAK CANCELLED: Because of our break from HBL earlier in March, we have CANCELLED our regular Spring Break that was scheduled for April 6-10, 2020. HBL will continue this week.
  • MAY HOLIDAY EXTENDED: May holiday has been extended. Students have off Friday, May 1, and Monday, May 4.

RETURN TO CAMPUS POSTPONED

In keeping with our commitment to provide you three weeks' notice of our return to campus, note that we are NOT released to return to campus by the first of April.

We will continue Home-Based Learning (HBL) until further notice.

SAT TESTING - Update from College Board

Please review this information we just received from College Board regarding SAT Testing.

In response to the rapidly evolving situation around the coronavirus (COVID-19) and guidance from public health officials, the College Board is canceling the May 2, 2020, SAT® administration. Makeup exams for the March 14 administration (scheduled March 28) are also canceled. The College Board will provide refunds to all students who are registered for May, those March test centers were closed, or who won't receive March scores because of an irregularity.

We'll provide future additional SAT testing opportunities for students as soon as feasible in place of canceled administrations. We'll be as flexible as possible to give students the best chance to show their skills and stay on the path to college. We haven't yet canceled the June 6, 2020, administration of the SAT Subject Tests™ and will continue to assess its status.

We understand that students outside the U.S. may have differing needs from country to country in terms of university planning steps and timelines. The College Board will take these concerns into consideration as we provide future testing opportunities.

We'll be flexible, thoughtful, and collaborative in exploring ways to continue to support student learning and provide students opportunities to test during this challenging time. Thank you for your partnership.

Sincerely,
College Board

AP EXAMS

WYIS is in communication with College Board AP and the AP teachers to ensure the best dates for the exams. Our hope is to provide a date in May for AP exams, though this will depend on when we’re are allowed to return to campus.

Students who are unable to return to Wuhan in May for the AP exams must contact CollegeBoard directly to see what options they have.
