When registering for an activity, please keep the following in mind:

  • Desktop/laptop works best. The PowerSchool APP is not reliable when registering for activities.
  • Firefox and Chrome are the best browsers to use. Internet Explorer is not reliable when registering for activities.

In order to give students a fair chance to participate, elementary students can only register for one after-school activity per quarter. However, if there are still spots available by 9AM on Tuesday, January 14, students can sign up for any available spot in any of the activities. Choose wisely, and please only sign up for activities that your child will definitely attend.

FRIDAY DRESS CODE

Earlier this year, we announced that secondary students could wear blue jeans on Fridays, along with their usual uniform polo.

With the beginning of semester two, we have expanded the dress code for Fridays. Instead of their usual uniform polo, all students can now wear any WYIS logo wear top. This includes hoodies and tshirts sold in our lobby, as well as athletics shirts or other official WYIS logo wear.

LEAVING ITEMS IN THE LOBBY

From time to time we are asked to keep items in our lobby to exchange from one parent to another. We love to see our community connecting like this, but we kindly ask that you don't use our school lobby to do so. We do not have the space to hold items for others, and we prefer the responsibility to remain with the sender and receiver. If you have items you'd like to leave for another WYIS family, please make arrangements to directly pass those items along to them. Thank you!

NOW AVAILABLE ON POWERSCHOOL

  • Grades for Quarter 2 are now available in DocBox on PowerSchool.
  • MAP Reports from our winter testing session for grades EC5 through Grade are also available in DocBox on PowerSchool.

Please log in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal to view your child's report. If you have questions about accessing these reports, please contact Agnes Liu.

Note: DocBox will not open correctly in Internet Explorer. Please use Chrome or Firefox to access this site.

WHAT TO DO WITH OLD SCHOOL UNIFORMS

Ever wondered what to do with a school uniform your child has outgrown or that is older, damaged, or you just don't need? If you have a uniform that is in good condition and know another WYIS family who could use these, we encourage you to recycle and share with them. However, there are three things we ask that you NOT do with any WYIS school uniform:

  1. Please do not put it in the trash
  2. Please do not donate it (in recycle bins or elsewhere)
  3. Please do not give it to someone who is not a current WYIS student

To protect our school brand and reputation, only current WYIS students should wear our school uniforms. If you have any WYIS school uniform you would like to get rid of, please bring it to the school. We will take any WYIS uniform in any condition and dispose of it properly, or we will recycle it for you among interested WYIS families. If you have questions, please contact the School Office or use our Feedback Form.
