EC3-EC5 Art from the Heart
Club leader: Mrs. Quiaoit
Dates & time: April 14 – May 26, 2021; every Wednesday from 3:15-4:00 pm, 7 sessions
Description: Parents and students will work together to create simple arts and crafts that will enable them to express feelings, communicate values, and practice self-care. Please note that students without a parent's company will not be allowed to participate in the activity. Please note that bus is not available for this club.
EC3-EC5 Storybook Club
Club leader: Dr. Hatten
Dates & Time: April 12 – May 24, 2021; every Monday from 3:15-4:00; 6 sessions
Parent Pickup location: backdoor of ECC classroom
Description: Each session students will listen to a story, play games and make a craft based on the story. Please note that bus is not available for this club.
G1-2 Soccer Club
Club leaders: Ms. Liu (a parent volunteer), Mr. Xu (an outside coach)
Dates & time: April 15 – June 10, 2021; every Thursday from 3:10-4:30 pm; 9 sessions
Parent Pickup location: Soccer field
Description: Students will practice trapping, dribbling, passing, and shooting the ball. They will also learn how to play soccer as a team. Students will be coached by an experienced coach from Soccer Park. Please note that this activity will only take place if at least 8 students register/join.

Description: Students will learn some basics about basketball and learn how to play well as a team. Please note that this club will be open if there are at least 8 students signing up.
G3-5 Ballet Club

Dates & time: April 15 – June 10, 2021; every Thursday from 3:15-4:30 pm, 9 sessions

Description: Students in Ballet Club will learn basic ballet movements, improve their flexibility, and enhance their strength, all while learning to enjoy the beautiful art and sport of ballet. Ballet Club is taught by an experienced ballet instructor (same as G1-2 Ballet Club). Please note that this activity will only take place if at least 5 students register/join.
Elementary Table Tennis Club
Club leader: Ms. Shi, Mr. Yang & Mr. Huang (two outside coaches)
Dates & time: April 12 – June 7; every Monday from 3:15-4:30pm; 9 sessions
Parents Pickup location: main door of the gym
Description: In Table Tennis Club, students will learn basic table tennis skills, includes topspin serve and rally, underspin serve and rally, forehand and backhand rubbing, forehand and backhand underspin loop, etc. Table Tennis Club is led by two experienced coaches who graduated from China Table Tennis College, Mr. Huang and Mr. Yang, who have taught table tennis for more than five years.
Middle School Fashion Illustration Club
Club leader: Ms. Yang
Dates & Time: April 12- May 31, 2021; Mondays from 3:15-4:30, 7 sessions
Description: Students will learn some basic fashion drawing skills, such as how to draw croquis, face features in fashion proportion, apply colors into fashion drawing and so on. School will provide supplies such as sketchbooks, watercolor and markers, but they are also welcome to bring their own drawing materials if they would like to. Please note that this activity will only take place if at least 5 students register/join.
Secondary Band Private Instrument Instruction
Club leader: Ms. Pack
Dates & time: Weekly throughout Q4; 3:10-4:30PM (communicate directly with Ms. Pack to arrange a lesson time. krista.pack@wyischina.com)
Description: "For Quarter 4, I would like to offer 20 minute private instrumental lessons EXCLUSIVELY to my middle school and high school band students for 2 days a week during the after school club period. So, there would be a total of 4 slots for students to be able to sign up for lessons with me (i.e. Wednesday - 3:10-3:30, 3:30-3:50, 3:50-4:10, 4:10-4:30). Students should communicate directly with me to arrange a lesson time. Students are permitted to share lesson times upon request. - Ms. Pack"
Secondary Jazz Dance

Dates & time: April 14 – June 9, 2021; every Wednesday from 3:10-4:30 pm; 9 sessions
Description: This club will be taught by Ms. Wang, a certified and experienced jazz dance instructor from an outside dance studio. There will be 9 sessions in all. Please note that this activity will only take place if at least 9 students register/join.

IMPORTANT INFO
• Registration opens on Thursday, April 1, at 8 pm and closes on Tuesday, April 6, at 11:59 pm.
• Parents can register their children for After-School Activities through the Parent Portal on PowerSchool through website. Mobile phones might not work well.
• In order to allow students a fair chance at registration, students can only register for no more than one activities at a time. If there are any openings remaining on April 7, parents may sign up their child for more than two activities from April 7 - April 14.
• Please note that once you sign up for a club for your child, you have the first week as the hesitation period to decide whether you would like your child continue coming to this club. After the first week, the finance department will deduct the club fee from your child’s lunch account and will not return the fee if your child withdraws from the club. Because of the limited spots for each club, please think carefully before you sign up or withdraw from a club.
